The main benefit when it comes to using LVT is the huge range of designs, patterns and finishes that are on offer. No matter what you are looking for in terms of design, the likelihood that there will be an option suited to your needs is pretty high. From real looking wood, tile and stone to abstract patterns, you will be sure to find exactly what you are looking for.
LVT provides you with the authentic look: wood, stone or slate, but with durability and total practicality. LVT floors come in 2 main formats.
Dry Back (also known as stuck down) can be fitted anywhere in the home. They are resistant to moisture and compatible with underfloor heating. By using the dry back option, this allows you to be creative with your floor. They come in a range of plank sizes including herringbone blocks. By using a combination of matching planks and blocks, you can create a zonal area using the same colour, but in different formats. Also by adding design features you can create your own individual floor and further enhance the look by using borders or laying planks in a different direction, for example 45 degrees, the possibilities are endless!
Rigid Core LVT. Rigid Core flooring again offers you the authentic look of wood, but with the added practicality and ease of maintenance. They can often be fitted over existing subfloors, with minimal floor preparation work. They are a rigid construction, 100% waterproof, they often have their own built in underlay and all are compatible with under floor heating. They require no adhesive and are a floating installation. They are also comfortable and warm underfoot, and are a cost effective and practical alternative to timber flooring.
As well as plank, they are also available in herringbone block and tile formats.
Due to its durability and water resistance, LVT is the perfect option for both kitchens and bathrooms. They will also not crack or warp under temperature fluctuations and can handle a great deal of footfall. LVT can add the finishing touch to any home, whether traditional or modern, get in touch with us and we can discuss your requirements and find a suitable option for your home.
